Just a quick note, using this Blog and my e-mail addresses to remind of Church Encouragement Services Session 2 – “Making Sunday Special.” This session is coming up at the end of this month. Place: Swan Lake Conference Center – Plymouth, Indiana. Date: Saturday February 23. Time: 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Cost: $20 per person, this includes registration and a personal manual. Purpose: There’s a tendency in most churches to get in a rut by doing the same things in the same way, week after week. This can lead to a boring routine. And slows down regular attenders inviting new people. Making Sunday Special gives some exciting and fresh changes without diminishing basic doctrine one bit.

To access a rough draft of the Leaders Session 1 manual, type in the search box: church board meetings and then press search. I apologize, it needs to be seriously edited, but all the material is there.

I have been trying to download the 24 page Church Board Meeting Teacher’s Manual with little success. I will continue to work on it. Trying to keep from re-typing the whole thing.  I may end up doing just that. Thanks for accessing this site. Tell your friends.

You bloggers have been so faithful and so patient, even though my web connection has been down for over a month. One of the comments that came in during that time requested more information on  “church boards.” Of course that is the topic of one of our Church Leader Sessions. However, I can take that material and put it in this blog. I will make it a goal to get that done this week.  It’s amazing that even though I haven’t been able to add any new material for all that time, we still have been averaging over 1000 hits per month.

I come up with Church Leader topics from my experience and ministry, however, it is so helpful when you help me meet your needs by communication under the “COMMENTS” switch at the bottom of every entry. Please feel free to use this opportunity.

You can also communicate with me by e-mail rtdmin@hoosierlink.net or telephone (574)274-8288.

We are introducing Church Leaders Session 2 “MAKING SUNDAY SPECIAL” February 23 @ Swan Lake Conference Center – Plymouth, Indiana. the time is 9:30 to 11:30 AM and the cost is $20. Which covers both registration and your own personal manual.

I haven’t written or put in anything new for a while. This is just a note of update. I have done two sessions on “Board Meetings” and have four more booked in December and two in February. We are planning on beginning Session 2 at Swan Lake Conference Center on the asked for subject of “Making Sunday Special.”  The tentative date is Saturday February 23. We will bring either of these two topics or any others to your board at your church. They are two hour sessions.

We are also offering a 3 minute presentation to your board. Sharing what Church Encouragement Services offers to come along side your efforts to equip and train your church leaders. As always we can be contacted at rtdmin@hoosierlink.net or (574) 274-8288.

Just a quick note to you faithful churchhelp.wordpress.com bloggers. I was in the hospital four and a half days. It was a Pancreas attack and heart fibulation. I’m OK now, though I’m still kind of weak. It’ll take a couple of weeks to get my strength back. Today is by first day back in the office. Much thanks to the many sweet visitors, cards, calls, flowers and meals. God’s people are the greatest and I felt a lot of love. Hope to be adding new material to this site soon. ARE THERE SOME CHURCH LEADERSHIP TOPICS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO ADD? LET ME KNOW BY CLICKING ON COMMENTS UNDER THIS POST. Thanks for your patience and keep on blogging. Search around under CATEGORIES. there’s more help at this site than you might realize.

In my devotion time today (2 KIngs 9 ff) The overwhelming lesson is from God’s relationship with the Kings through the prophets. We know of and are very greatful today for God’s mercy and grace through Jesus. But even so we still, in many ways, reap what we sew. The “good kings” were blessed by God and the “bad kings” recieved His punishment.

As church leaders we need His blessing and direction as much or even more than other Christians. We need to learn to trust Him COMPLETELY. We need to diligently seek His face. His direction and leadership. Even though faith is a gift from God. (“He gives to every man a measure of faith.”} we need to develop a strong faith  that sees God working in our everyday life.

I know you , like me, want to hear our Father’s “well done good and faithful servant.” and bear much fruit.
